Project “Cambodia: First Biennial Update Report (BUR1) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change”

This proposed project will enable the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) to prepare its first Biennial Update Report (FBUR), in accordance with decision 1/CP.16 and 2/CP.17 of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The Biennial Update Reports of Non-Annex I Parties to the UNFCCC aim to provide updates on data and information contained in the most recent national communication on climate change. Cambodia’s First Biennial Update Report (FBUR) Project intends to: (i) strengthen national technical and institutional capacities for the preparation of Biennial Update Reports and (ii) update data and information contained in the Second National Communication related to, inter alia, national circumstances and institutional arrangements, national inventory of greenhouse gases, measures to mitigate climate change and their effects, constraints, gaps and related financial, technical and capacity needs, support received and information on domestic Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV).

The Project is seeking for qualified, talented, and result-oriented experts to provide support in the following areas:

1) Job Title: Project consultant to prepare information on domestic   Measurement, Reporting and Verification of the Frist Cambodia’s BUR

Reports to: National Project Coordinator

Contract Type: Short-term consultant

Duty Station: Department of Climate Change, GSSD

Classified Level: N/A

Duration: 30 working days (spread over the period of 15 June 2018 to 31 December 2018)

 

2) Job Title: Project consultant to prepare Financial, Technological and Capacity Building Needs of the Cambodia’s first BUR

Reports to: National Project Coordinator

Contract Type: ​Short-term consultant

Duty Station: Department of Climate Change, GSSD

Classified Level: N/A

Duration: 25 working days (spread over the period of 15 June 2018 to 31 December 2018)
