The overall objective is to strengthen national systems and capacities to support the coordination and implementation of Cambodia’s climate change response, contributing to a greener, low carbon, climate-resilient, equitable, sustainable and knowledge-based society. The specific objective is to contribute to the implementation of the Cambodia Climate Change Strategic Plan 2014-2023.

Job Announcement for Project “Cambodia: First Biennial Update Report (BUR1) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change”

Project “Cambodia: First Biennial Update Report (BUR1) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change”

This proposed project will enable the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) to prepare its first Biennial Update Report (FBUR), in accordance with decision 1/CP.16 and 2/CP.17 of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The Biennial Update Reports of Non-Annex I Parties to the UNFCCC aim to provide updates on data and information contained in the most recent national communication on climate change. Cambodia’s First Biennial Update Report (FBUR) Project intends to: (i) strengthen national technical and institutional capacities for the preparation of Biennial Update Reports and (ii) update data and information contained in the Second National Communication related to, inter alia, national circumstances and institutional arrangements, national inventory of greenhouse gases, measures to mitigate climate change and their effects, constraints, gaps and related financial, technical and capacity needs, support received and information on domestic Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV).
