Press Release - National Council for Sustainable Development's First Meeting

1st NCSD meeting 31Aug2016 2The first meeting of the National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD) was held at the Ministry of Environment on 31 August 2016 under chairmanship of H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment and NCSD chairman. This meeting brought together for the first time senior government representatives at the central and provincial to review and decide on a wide range of agenda items such as: NCSD logo, structure and subsidiary bodies, rules and procedures, priority strategic programmes, as well as to hear the updates on the National Environmental Strategy and Action Plan (NESAP) and the Environmental Code.

New Release – Report on Climate Public Expenditure Review 2013-2014

Report on CPER 2013 2014 Cover pageThe Cambodia Climate Public Expenditure Review (CPER) report has been developed, with technical support from the National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD) and Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA), by the Climate Change Technical Team of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).

This review presented the evolution of public expenditure since 2009 and analyzes its alignment with Climate Change Action Plans (CCAPs) in key ministries is part of a broader effort by the MEF to support the Cambodian Climate Change Strategic Plan adopted by the RGC in 2013, and to ensure that climate change, as a cross-cutting priority in the National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP) 2014-2018, is well reflected in public investments and activities on the ground. New Release - Climate Change Action Plan for Ministry of Environment 2016-2018

Climate Change Action Plan for MoE 2016 2018 En FINAL CoverTo promote implementation of the strategic objectives of the CCCSP 2014-2023, Ministry of Environment (MoE) has developed the present Climate Change Action Plan for the period 2016-2018, in alignment with the mandates of the ministry and of the General Secretariat of the National Council for Sustainable Development (GSSD). The Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP) sets out the key priority actions for Ministry of Environment three General Directorates of Environmental Knowledge and Information, Environmental Protection, and Nature Conservation and Protection Administration, through which they can support the implementation of CCCSP. It also sets clear guidance on key priority actions for the GSSD, in particular for the Department of Climate Change Department, as well as the Departments of Science and Technology, Green Economy, and Biodiversity.
