Phnom Penh - On 20th December 2013, a workshop to disseminate key outcomes of the 19th Conference of Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC CoP 19) was organized by the Climate Change Department of the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the Cambodian Climate Change Alliance (CCCA), and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The workshop was attended by over 100 key stakeholders from government institutions, development partners, civil society and media.

Warsaw, 15 November 2013 - Mr. SUM Thy, Director of Climate Change Department of Ministry of Environment presented lessons learned from Country-based practical experience on Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) in Cambodia in the site-event organized by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ) and Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center, Japan (OECC) on 15 November 2013 during his participation in Warsaw UN Climate Change Negotiations known as the 19th Conference of the Parties (C0P 19). Warsaw, 14 November 2013 – “Climate change is not an option, we have to take it very seriously because it affects every aspects of our life”, said Tin Ponlok of the Cambodian Ministry of Environment in a side event “From integrated climate strategies to climate finance effectiveness: the role of mainstreaming and institutional strengthening” organised by the European Union at the side of the 19th UN Climate Conference.

The 14th National Climate Change Committee (NCCC) meeting was organized on 29 May, 2013 at the Ministry of Environment. Chaired by H.E. Dr. Mok Mareth, Senior Minister, Minister of Environment and Chairman​​ of NCCC, the meeting was participated by NCCC members from other state ministries. The meeting aims to review the implementation progress of two ambitious climate change programs: Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) and Pilot Program for Climate Resilient (PPCR), the status of Cambodia climate change strategic plan development and the concept plan to organize the 3rd National Forum on Climate Change.
