Cambodia preparing report on Intended Nationally Determined Contribution

INDC workshop 17 Jun 2015Phnom Penh- 17 June 2015, Cambodia has starting prepared a report on Intended Nationally Determined Contribution to the United Nations to the Framework Convention on Climate Change (INDC) through a consultative workshop organized by Climate Change Department (CCD) in collaboration with the British Embassy in Cambodia through RECARDO-AEA and the United Nation Environment Program (UNEP) at Imperial Hotel. The event seeks alternative measures of mitigation and adaptation to reduce greenhouse gases emissions to be incorporated into the INDC report.

UNFCCC CoP 20 Outcomes Dissemination Workshop

IMG 3151.jpg-1 03 February 2015 at Sunway Hotel, a workshop to disseminate key outcomes of the 20th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC CoP 20) was organized by the Climate Change Department of the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA), under presidency of H.E. Say Samal, the Minister of Environment. The event was attended by over 140 key stakeholders from National Climate Change Committee, Climate Change Technical Team, development partners, embassies, academia, civil societies and media.

Battambang – 13th-14th November 2014, second workshop on Climate Change Mainstreaming into the Sub-National Level was organized​ by the Climate Change Department (CCD) of the Ministry of Environment under financial support from United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) to increase the understanding of climate change cause and impacts as well as present key tools for vulnerable reduction in commune/sangkat in order to mainstream climate change into sub-national planning development process in 5 provinces, Battambang, Siem Reap, Pursat, Kampong Chhnang and Banteay Meanchey.

Workshop on Joint Crediting Mechanism in Cambodia
