Media training 518 November 2015 at Himawari Hotel, Phnom Penh— Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Information is co-organizing training workshop on “Media and Climate Change” to approximately 60 media professionals who are reporters and editors from TV, radio and press working at the national and local levels. This is the second joint training between the two ministries with the specific objective of raising awareness and engagement of the multiple media groups in reporting climate change issues.

Training on Linking Climate Policy and Public Finance in Cambodia

Training on Public policy 03Nov2015PHNOM PENH, 03 November 2015: Following a Training on Trainers focused on how the climate change response can be integrated in Government planning and budgets this August, the first training on the “linkage between Climate Change Policy and Public Finance in Cambodia” was launched today for a first group of 30 government officials at the Economics and Finance Institute (EFI) of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF). The objective is to advance the knowledge of how climate change can influence the effectiveness of public policies, consequently identify entry points for integrating climate change in budgeting for seven government ministries.

Press Release: Launching a Call for Proposals on Research and Innovation Grants Responding to Climate Change

IMG 2822 1Phnom Penh, 15 September 2015, The General Secretariat for Sustainable Development (GSSD), hosted by the Ministry of Environment​ launched a Call for Proposals on Research and Innovation Grants in support of the national climate change priorities, with support from the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance programme (CCCA). Seven to ten grants are expected to be awarded, with an individual amount between USD 50,000 and USD 100,000. The workshop was attended by over 120 participants, from Government, academia and NGOs (Summary Q&A is inside).
